According to the story, a referee who was struggling to pay his mortgage had his payments covered by Núñez's company in exchange for favorable officiating in Barça's matches.

This revelation adds another layer to the long-standing allegations surrounding Barcelona’s involvement in influencing referees, especially in light of the Negreira case. The situation highlights the potential disadvantage that Real Madrid and other clubs face in this matter, and with the issue far from being resolved, pressure may mount for these clubs to take action.
