It was an open secret, but now it's official: the Miami Dolphins will be the home team for the first NFL game held at the Santiago Bernabéu in Spain.
The Dolphins, along with the Chicago Bears, hold marketing rights in Spain, making them the clear favorite to be chosen. The Miami franchise has confirmed that it will play in Madrid during the 2025-26 season.
While the exact date remains unknown, it’s expected that the details will be revealed around the Super Bowl. It is likely that the game will take place during one of FIFA’s international breaks, with possible dates being September 6-7, October 11-12, or November 15-16.
As for the Dolphins’ opponent, fans will have to wait a few weeks to find out, but it will definitely be one of these nine teams: the Bills, Patriots, Jets, Ravens, Bengals, Saints, Buccaneers, Chargers, or Commanders. These are the teams set to visit Miami next season, with one heading to Madrid for this historic game.
