Nico Paz will continue his journey with Como next season under the guidance of Cesc Fàbregas. According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid has already informed the northern Italian club that it will not activate the €8 million buy-back clause that would have allowed them to bring the Argentine international back to the Bernabéu this summer.
For now, Como’s project stays on course, keeping hold of one of its most promising young players, born in the Canary Islands and developed between Tenerife’s academy and Real Madrid’s La Fábrica.
However, the story isn’t over. While Nico Paz is set to remain at Como until at least June 30, 2026, Real Madrid still holds a second buy-back option for the following summer. At the end of the 2025-26 season, the club will once again have the chance to re-sign him, this time for €9 million.
Whether that opportunity leads to a return to Madrid remains to be seen, but for now, Como retains a rising star, and Madrid keeps the door slightly ajar.
