The project commenced with the removal of last season's grass, marking the beginning of a meticulous process designed to ensure the highest quality playing surface.

In the first phase, the ground will be leveled using sand mixed with organic matter, more of which was required than initially anticipated. This preparation is crucial for planting the seeds on the six plates that constitute the stadium's hypogeum. By meticulously regulating the conditions of the grass, Real Madrid aims to maintain an immaculate playing surface throughout the season.
