Gabri Valero, a winger for Real Madrid C, was involved in a controversial incident during his side's latest match after receiving a brutal elbow to the face from an opponent.
The challenge left many in Madrid outraged, particularly because the referee showed only a yellow card for the incident. The elbow appeared to strike Valero directly in the face, in an action that could have had far more serious consequences.
Fortunately, the Real Madrid C winger was able to continue playing, but the decision not to issue a red card has sparked strong criticism.
