Patrick Beverley is poised to become Real Madrid's latest addition until the end of the season. While final details are still being worked out, the point guard is expected to sign with the Spanish giants, who have a free spot on the roster following the departure of Dennis Smith Jr.
Beverley recently parted ways with Hapoel Tel Aviv, where he had joined last summer. His exit was reportedly due to disagreements with the club's new coach, Dimitris Itoudis. Serbian newspaper Mozzart Sport first reported the news, and official confirmation is expected shortly.
The 36-year-old, standing at 1.85 meters, has been performing well, averaging 11 points and 5 assists in the EuroCup with Hapoel. Prior to his time in Europe, Beverley played in 740 NBA games for various teams between 2013 and 2024.
