Real Madrid basketball continue to shape their squad for the 2026-27 season, with new head coach Pedro Martínez already making key decisions ahead of the campaign.
According to Diario AS journalist Ricardo González, Martínez has decided to keep Chuma Okeke at the club despite recent speculation over the player's future.
Okeke joined Real Madrid last season on a two-year contract running until 2027. The agreement included a clause allowing the club to terminate the deal after the first season, but Real Madrid have reportedly chosen not to activate that option.
The decision ends weeks of uncertainty surrounding the player's future, as the power forward position remained one of the main areas under review by the club's sporting management.
Following the official signing of Jaime Pradilla, Okeke had been widely expected to leave. However, according to the report, Pedro Martínez has opted to retain the former NBA forward as part of his plans for next season.
