Toni Kroos has been awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in a ceremony held in the presidential box at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of Germany, presented the distinction to the Real Madrid icon and international football legend. The event took place at the stadium and was attended by Real Madrid Honorary President José Martínez Pirri, Director of Institutional Relations Emilio Butragueño, coach Xabi Alonso, and players Fede Valverde, Antonio Rüdiger, Sara Däbritz, and Merle Frohms. Club legends Roberto Carlos, Álvaro Arbeloa, and Santiago Solari were also present at the ceremony.
