Antonio Rüdiger praised Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Getafe, acknowledging the significance of securing three points, even though there was some controversy surrounding the awarded penalty.
“We’re happy with the three points, but we feel like we could’ve scored a few more goals. We started the game really well,” Rüdiger said.
He highlighted the importance of maintaining consistency as Madrid push for success in both La Liga and the Champions League. “Things have been going well in La Liga since the last loss, but we can’t let our guard down. This is what Real Madrid demands from us. We need to keep this form in La Liga and improve in the Champions League.”
Rüdiger also applauded the team’s defensive organization, stressing the value of communication among the backline. He praised youth player Raúl Asencio and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois for their performances.
“Defence starts with the players up front, and that’s where we’ve improved. In the back, with Raúl, Courtois, and the whole defensive line, there’s great communication, which is crucial,” Rüdiger added.
