Rafa Nadal has accepted Real Madrid's offer to join the club's Board of Directors. The tennis legend announced his decision on social media, thanking Florentino Pérez for his confidence and expressing his enthusiasm about taking on the new role.

"I want to thank President Florentino Pérez and the Board for proposing that I join the Real Madrid Board of Directors," Nadal wrote, publicly confirming his acceptance of the invitation.

"I accepted this offer with great enthusiasm, eager to learn and contribute as much as I can," he added.

Nadal's arrival on the Board adds a new dimension to the long-standing speculation surrounding a possible future presidency at Real Madrid, with some believing he could eventually succeed Florentino Pérez.

His appointment is likely to fuel further discussion about that possibility. However, viewing his entry into the Board as the beginning of a succession process would be premature, particularly given Nadal's stated desire to learn and contribute to the club.
