Rafael Leao has developed into a star at AC Milan; after scoring 11 goals and dishing out 10 assists, he was named the Player of the Season in Serie A for 2021/22. He is now one of the most sought-after players in Europe.

Thanks to his contributions, AC Milan won the Serie A title and the elite of Europe took notice.

"These comparisons bother me, but if Manchester City spent $117 million on Grealish? What is Leao potentially worth?" Massimo Ambrosini said regarding Rafael Leao, for whom Milan paid 29.5 million euros to Lille in 2019.

His father, Antonio Leao, discussed Rafa's future in an interview with Record and made comments about rumors that his son might play for Chelsea, Real Madrid, or Barcelona.

"We are negotiating with Milan, because Rafa has a contract that expires in 2024," Antonio Leao said about Rafael's situation.

"There is still time before 2024, and we will deal with everything. From Real Madrid, Barcelona or Chelsea." Leao's market value is thought to be between 85-120 million euros.

"Rafa feels very comfortable in Milan because the cultures are similar," Antonio Leao said. "The club has done a lot for him, but Rafael has become the best player in that league. He is simply the best".

In Italy, it has been reported that Milan have offered 5m euros per season to Rafael Leao, who is thought to be holding out for 7m euros a year.
