Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Fiorentina for the transfer of academy defender Víctor Valdepeñas.

The deal is pending the player's medical examination, with Fiorentina set to pay €8 million for 50% of the 19-year-old's economic rights. Valdepeñas will sign a five-year contract with the Italian club.

As part of the agreement, Real Madrid will retain 50% of the player's rights and have a buy-back option, allowing the club to maintain control over his future development.

Valdepeñas made his first-team debut last season under Xabi Alonso, starting against Alavés at Mendizorroza. A regular for Castilla under both Álvaro Arbeloa and Julián López de Lerma, he is valued for his versatility, being able to play as both a center-back and a left-back.

One of the standout talents from La Fábrica, Valdepeñas was also part of the Real Madrid youth side that won the UEFA Youth League last April. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €5 million.
