Real Madrid will take on Baskonia this afternoon in the 2026 Copa del Rey final. It will be Madrid’s 12th final in the last 13 editions and their first ever against the Vitoria-based side in a Copa del Rey title game. Having already lifted the trophy in Valencia back in 1973, Los Blancos will aim to claim their 30th Copa del Rey crown and further extend their remarkable legacy in the competition. For Baskonia, this marks their first appearance in the final since 2009.
The Roig Arena will host a Copa del Rey final for the first time. Real Madrid, with 29 titles, and Baskonia, with six, share a long-standing rivalry, yet they have never previously met to decide the Copa del Rey champion. The two sides have already faced each other twice this season, with Madrid winning in the EuroLeague (94-87) and Baskonia prevailing in the Liga ACB (105-100).
