Jesús Fortea had become a focal point of tension between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid, as his transfer from Atlético’s youth academy to Los Blancos marked the breaking of the non-aggression pact between the two clubs. Now under Álvaro Arbeloa’s guidance in Juvenil A, the young right-back has been impressing on the field. However, frustration is growing for the 17-year-old as he waits for a significant opportunity.
According to Relevo, tensions between Jesús Fortea and Real Madrid have escalated. Despite his potential, Fortea has yet to debut with Castilla and has only featured twice for Real Madrid C in the Segunda RFEF. While some of his teammates, like Dani Yáñez and Diego Aguado, have already had chances to play under Raúl in Castilla, Fortea has yet to even make a first-team call-up list.
The young defender is reconsidering his future, although his preference is to stay with Real Madrid. Several major European clubs are expressing interest, and his entourage had hoped he would gain minutes with Castilla this season, but that has not materialized. With a contract until 2026, Real Madrid is now pushing for a renewal, especially as Fortea turns 18 in March. However, the club is concerned that his frustration could complicate negotiations, especially since his agent has reportedly been in talks with other teams.
