Real Madrid officially announced the signing of Filippa Angeldahl. The 26-year-old Swedish midfielder joins from Manchester City after the conclusion of her contract. An international player for her national team, Angeldahl will bolster the midfield, filling the gaps left by the departures of Claudia Zornoza and Freja Siri. This marks the first official signing for the club, with at least seven more expected this summer.
Angeldahl's career began early, playing in the Cup for Vaksala at just 15 years old. She moved to Sirius, where she achieved promotion to Damallsvenskan. In 2014, at 17, she debuted in the Swedish top flight with AIK, playing 20 games that season. She later played for Hammarby, Linköpings, and Häcken before joining Manchester City in 2021.
