Real Madrid are making moves beyond the transfer market, with the club also strengthening its medical department in an attempt to address one of the biggest issues from recent seasons: the number of injuries affecting the first-team squad.

According to The Athletic, Real Madrid have added Alexandre Creuzé to their medical staff. The former head of medical services at AS Monaco will become the first team's medical director, working under Niko Mihic, who oversees medical operations across all areas of the club.

At 45 years old, Creuzé is considered one of the most respected figures in French football's sports medicine sector. A specialist in sports medicine and rehabilitation, he joined Monaco in 2018 and became head of the department in 2024.

Before his time at Monaco, Creuzé worked in several clubs in the Bordeaux region, including Girondins Bordeaux, while also gaining experience in other sports such as basketball and rugby.

His arrival is part of a wider restructuring of Real Madrid's medical department, which began with Niko Mihic's return to the club last January. The changes have already included the departures of Felipe Segura, former head of the first-team medical department, and Manuel Arroyo, who recently resigned.
