Real Madrid's basketball division continues to reduce its annual deficit while steadily increasing its revenue. Despite still operating at a loss, the gap is narrowing, with last season's losses recorded at €20.83 million—an improvement from the €28 million deficit seen in previous years.
According to the club's financial report, which was shared with members ahead of the annual meeting, the basketball division generated over €25 million last season, more than double the revenue from 2021. Sponsorships alone brought in more than €12 million, while season tickets and ticket sales accounted for €8.9 million. Revenue from competitions and TV rights contributed an additional €4 million.

The reduction in losses is attributed to higher revenues and careful control over first-team wages. The report also highlights the impact of performance bonuses, particularly after winning the Euroleague and Copa del Rey in 2023, which led to bonuses of €6.7 million, on top of a staff wage bill of €30.5 million.
For the current 2024-25 season, the club anticipates revenues of nearly €24 million, though historically, actual figures have surpassed these conservative estimates. The section's budget for the season stands at approximately €43 million, with projected losses of around €18.5 million.
