Real Madrid has made one thing crystal clear: Diego Aguado is not for sale. Despite significant interest, most notably from Borussia Dortmund, who reportedly tabled a €3 million offer to bring him straight into their first team, the club is standing firm. Marca reports that interest also came from Italy, with Parma among the admirers, but Madrid’s stance remains unwavering: no deal.

Aguado is viewed as a key figure for Castilla, and first-team coach Xabi Alonso is keeping a close eye on him. Alonso even called him up for the Club World Cup and sees the 18-year-old as one of the most promising talents in Valdebebas. For now, Aguado will stay under the guidance of Álvaro Arbeloa, who discovered him and considers him a cornerstone of the reserve team, both on and off the pitch. Aguado is expected to be one of Castilla’s leaders this season.

Despite his age, Aguado already made his senior debut on January 6th in the Copa del Rey against Deportivo Minera and continues to train regularly with the first team. His versatility, being comfortable at both center back and left back, adds to his value, but it’s his mentality and commitment that have truly earned admiration within the club.
