Everything will be decided next Saturday at the Muñoz Pérez Stadium in Estepona, where Real Madrid C and Estepona will battle for survival in the Segunda RFEF after drawing the first leg at Valdebebas.
Real Madrid C made a perfect start to the match, taking the lead in the fourth minute through Mesonero, a goal that gave Víctor Cea’s side early confidence. However, Estepona reacted well and quickly found an equalizer thanks to Heber Pena.
The second half followed a similar pattern but with the roles reversed. Estepona struck immediately after the restart to go ahead, before Real Madrid C responded soon after with an excellent goal from Leiva.
The equalizer pushed the Madrid reserve side forward in search of a winning goal that could have given them an advantage heading into the decisive second leg. Ciria had the clearest opportunity late on but failed to convert in a one-on-one situation.
The tie now remains completely open ahead of the decisive return match next Saturday at 9:00 PM.
