Real Madrid Castilla will compete in the group two of the First Federation after the official announcement of RFEF this Tuesday. After staying on the brink of promotion to the Second Division by losing in the last tie against Eldense despite the draw, Raúl's men will try again next season.
Once again, there will be two groups of 20 teams each, a round-trip league structure, and two direct promotion slots designated for the winners of each of the two groups. The groups will be split into north and south zones.
With teams from Andalusia, the Balearic Islands, the Valencian Community, Extremadura, Ceuta, and Melilla, Castilla has been placed in group two (southern zone). There will be a derby of subsidiaries next season as Atlético Madrid's subsidiary will compete in the same group of Castilla after being recently promoted from the Second RFEF to the third level of Spanish football.
The rivals that Real Madrid Castilla will have to face next season will be: AD Ceuta, AD Mérida, Algeciras, Antequera, Atlético Sanluqueño, CD Alcoyano, Atlético Baleares, CD Castellón, Intercity, Atlético de Madrid B, Recreativo Granada, Córdoba CF, Linares, Málaga CF, Recreativo de Huelva, Real Murcia, San Fernando CD Isleño, UD Ibiza and UD Melilla.
