German airports are on alert due to the strikes that have been called for a couple of weeks. Leipzig airport is one of the most affected, and unless there is a change in the next few hours, it will be completely paralyzed on Monday.

Because of this, Real Madrid had to change their travel plan for the first leg of the Champions League round of 16: Tuesday, 9:00 p.m., at RB Leipzig's home. The white team will take off from Barajas on Monday at nine in the morning on special flight IB2800, but instead of arriving in Leipzig, they will arrive at the Erfurt-Weimar airport, which is scheduled to arrive at 12:05 p.m. After that, Ancelotti and his team will have to travel by bus, which will take them an hour and a half to cover the 160 kilometers to Leipzig, where they will stay at the Steigenberger Grandhotel Handelshof.

The initial plan was a direct flight to Leipzig at 10 in the morning. The idea planned for the return remains intact. This return will be after the game, with takeoff scheduled at 00:30 and arrival in Madrid at 03:35.
