Andrés Feliz has raised doubts in the first part of the season as Campazzo's new replacement in leading the team, prompting the club to bring in another point guard—Smith Jr.—for the second half of the season. However, Smith Jr. won’t be the only new addition to Real Madrid for the remainder of the season. The club has also targeted strengthening their interior lineup, as Ibaka has not been convincing and may leave Valdebebas this summer. According to the latest information from the Inside Euroleague portal, Bruno Fernando (26 years old, 2.06 meters) is close to reaching an agreement with the club and could sign his contract before the weekend.

Fernando, who also received offers from Panathinaikos, Fenerbahce, and Monaco, reportedly prefers Real Madrid due to language and family ties. The Angolan center will join forces with Tavares and Ibaka in Real Madrid's inside rotation, following his NBA career, where he played 220 games over five and a half seasons with the Hawks, Celtics, Rockets, and Raptors.
