Real Madrid completed their first training session of the 2026-27 preseason under José Mourinho at Real Madrid City.
With the players involved in the World Cup either still competing or on their post-tournament break, Mourinho worked with the available first-team squad alongside several academy players after the group underwent medical examinations earlier in the day.
The session began in the gym before moving onto the pitch for activation exercises combining physical work and ball drills. The squad then completed high-intensity possession drills under pressure, followed by finishing exercises on small goals and several matches on a reduced-size pitch.
Éder Militão, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo continued their respective recovery programs.
