In response to Ancelotti's claim, Real Madrid has released a statement guaranteeing the team's participation in the upcoming Club World Cup, which takes place in 2025 from June 15 to July 13.

"Real Madrid CF announces that at no time has its participation in the new Club World Cup to be organized by FIFA in the next 2024/2025 season been questioned. Therefore, our club will compete, as planned, in this official competition that we are facing with pride and with the utmost enthusiasm to make our millions of fans around the world dream again with a new title," the statement says.

In an interview with the newspaper 'Il Giornale', the coach of the white team had made his position clear and, by extension, that of the entity, on the new Club World Cup. "FIFA can forget about that. The players and clubs will not participate in that tournament. A single Real Madrid match is worth 20 million and FIFA wants to give us that amount for the entire tournament. Negative. Like us, other clubs will reject the invitation," Ancelotti had assured.

The coach, almost at the same time as Real Madrid released the statement, has also qualified his words with a publication on his social networks. "In my interview with Il Giornale, my words about the FIFA Club World Cup have not been interpreted in the way I intended. Nothing could be further from my interest than to reject the possibility of playing in a tournament that I consider could be a great opportunity to continue fighting for big titles with Real Madrid."
