Andriy Lunin’s future is once again under discussion as the summer transfer window approaches, with the goalkeeper potentially nearing the end of his time at Real Madrid. The club has not actively pushed for his departure but remains open to offers, aware that his opportunities are limited due to Thibaut Courtois’ role as first choice.

Reports suggest that a proposal in the region of €40 million could be enough to secure Lunin’s exit, a figure that would not require significant reinvestment in a replacement.

In the event of his departure, Real Madrid are considering internal options, with academy goalkeeper Javi Navarro emerging as a strong candidate. The 19-year-old recently impressed during the UEFA Youth League, earning praise from Courtois.

Navarro, a Spain Under-19 international, has already been included in a first-team squad by Álvaro Arbeloa shortly after his European success, underlining the coach’s confidence in his potential.

The club could offer him minutes before the end of the season depending on circumstances, while his participation in preseason with the first team is considered almost certain. His role for next season will depend on both the managerial situation and Lunin’s final decision.
