Jacobo Ramón has once again emerged as an important part of Real Madrid's future plans. The Madrid-born defender's impressive development at Como has prompted the club to seriously consider activating the buy-back clause included in his transfer.

The 21-year-old center-back joined the Italian club in the summer of 2025 for €2.5 million after struggling to secure regular first-team opportunities at Real Madrid. However, the club retained 50% of his economic rights as well as a buy-back option. According to Matteo Moretto, Real Madrid's management is now carefully assessing the possibility of exercising that option during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Ramón's performances have justified the attention from Real Madrid. The academy graduate played an important role in Cesc Fàbregas' system last season and helped Como secure a historic qualification for the Champions League. This season, he has featured for every minute of the campaign. His progress has also been reflected at international level, where he has established himself in Spain's under-21 defense.

Moretto reports that the fee to bring Ramón back in the summer of 2027 would be between €8 million and €9 million. Real Madrid would reportedly have the option to exercise the buy-back clause over three consecutive summers, through 2028, with the fee increasing progressively depending on when the club decides to activate it.
