Real Madrid had been considering a possible sale of Gonzalo García this summer as part of their squad planning and financial strategy.

However, according to Matteo Moretto, the club has now reversed that stance following the intervention of José Mourinho. The new Real Madrid coach has requested that Gonzalo García remain in the squad for the time being.

Mourinho reportedly wants to evaluate the player in person before making any final decision, as he believes the striker possesses qualities that could be useful for the team.

Gonzalo García has consistently expressed his commitment to Real Madrid and his desire to stay at the club, or at least maintain the possibility of returning if a departure becomes necessary.

The situation had attracted interest from clubs such as Juventus and Como. However, Mourinho’s arrival has changed the outlook, putting any immediate transfer on hold while the player is assessed during preseason.
