Real Madrid have advanced to the Club World Cup semi-finals after a dramatic 3-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The match started brilliantly for Madrid, who took control in the opening 20 minutes with goals from Gonzalo and Fran García, setting a dominant tone. The game seemed under control until extra time, when chaos erupted.
Beier pulled one back for Dortmund, but Kylian Mbappé responded with a stunning goal to restore Madrid’s two-goal cushion. Moments later, Guirassy converted a penalty to make it 3-2, following a controversial play that also saw Dean Huijsen sent off.
Now, Paris Saint-Germain awaits in the semi-final, scheduled for Wednesday the 9th at 9:00 PM, again at MetLife Stadium.
