Real Madrid have ended their pursuit of Michael Olise after concluding that a deal with Bayern Munich is not feasible this summer.

The French winger had emerged as one of Florentino Pérez's preferred targets following his outstanding campaign, but Bayern's firm stance against selling the player has convinced the Spanish giants to shift their focus elsewhere.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid recently informed Bayern Munich that they intend to respect the German club's position and preserve the strong relationship between the two clubs. As a result, no further negotiations over Olise are expected during this transfer window.

The report adds that Florentino Pérez remains a great admirer of the France international and would be eager to revisit the deal if Bayern were ever to soften their stance. However, at this stage, such a scenario appears highly unlikely.

With the Olise operation effectively closed, Real Madrid have turned their full attention to Yan Diomandé, who has now become the club's priority target to strengthen the right wing.

While a move for Olise has been shelved for this summer, Real Madrid have not ruled out making another attempt in a future transfer window should the circumstances change.
