Real Madrid have decided to part ways with Niko Mihic, the club's chief medical officer. The Güler case has been one of the triggers for the departure of the Croatian doctor, who arrived at Real Madrid in 2017.

It was six years ago when he began to dedicate himself exclusively to Real Madrid, replacing Dr. Olmo. He was very close to Florentino Pérez and the Croatian players (Kovacic and Modric).

His methods created certain doubts in some players at the beginning, but with the help of Pintus, they made Real Madrid one of the most physically powerful teams.

The decision to part ways with Dr. Mihic comes after a difficult start to the season in terms of injuries and, more importantly, the handling of some of them. Particularly in the case of Güler.

The biggest issue with Güler has been his constant relapses and muscular injuries, which have produced quite a few disagreements in recent weeks between the club's many physical areas: physical trainers, readapters, physios, and Mihic himself.

However, Güler's case was not the only one that led to the Croatian doctor's departure. There have been numerous relapses by some players in the last year. The instances of Benzema, Alaba, and Ceballos, all of whom had physical problems in the same areas, had previously created multiple conflicts between the players and the medical staff, escalating to the club's highest levels.

After six years of work, it was finally decided to discontinue the relation between both parties.
