Real Madrid, along with 12 other Euroleague clubs, have agreed to extend their partnership with the competition until 2040. This new agreement adds 14 years to the current deal, which was set to expire in 2026. Spanish teams such as Barcelona and Baskonia, as well as top European clubs like Anadolu Efes, Fenerbahçe, Maccabi, Milan, Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, Asvel Villeurbanne, FC Bayern, Zalgiris, and CSKA Moscow, have all signed this extended agreement.

With just two years remaining on the existing contract, the clubs have been working on a formula to extend their commitment, resulting in this successful 14-season extension. This move reflects the robust health of the Euroleague.

The agreement ensures that these 13 clubs will remain united under the Euroleague banner once the current contract with IMG concludes in 2026. This extension not only strengthens the clubs but also bolsters the competition's position for future negotiations with both FIBA and the NBA. Potential long-term investors like Dubai have been speculated to enter the Euroleague, and this collective agreement could enhance the league's negotiating power.
