Real Madrid has been actively scouting the market with a focus on strengthening the backcourt for Chus Mateo’s squad. Devonte Graham appears to be an ideal fit, offering a significant boost to the team's pursuit of success in both the EuroLeague and domestic competitions in Spain.
A product of Kansas, Graham was drafted 34th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in 2018. He has since played in 345 NBA games, representing the Charlotte Hornets, New Orleans Pelicans, and San Antonio Spurs. More recently, in the 2024-25 season, Graham has been playing in the G League with the South Bay Lakers, where he averaged 14.3 points, 4.2 assists, 2.2 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 0.2 blocks per game over six appearances.
Real Madrid’s current backcourt features the likes of Facundo Campazzo, Andres Feliz, Sergio Llull, and Xavier Rathan-Mayes. However, following a challenging EuroLeague campaign that has left the team with a 10-9 record and just clinging to the Play-In Showdown zone with 15 regular-season games remaining, a backcourt upgrade seems increasingly necessary.
