Real Madrid are already working on their plans for next season, with strengthening the midfield emerging as a key priority. In that context, Diario AS has revealed the shortlist of players being considered to reinforce the squad.
According to the report, the club is evaluating six names: Vitinha, Rodri Hernández, Kees Smit, Enzo Fernández, Adam Wharton, and Sandro Tonali. The list includes a mix of established stars and emerging talents, offering different profiles depending on sporting and financial considerations.
Among them, Rodri appears to be the least likely option despite being highly rated internally. Vitinha is also considered a difficult target due to his contract situation and expected high transfer fee. Enzo Fernández is another admired option, especially given his openness to a move, but the financial side of the deal remains complex.
Meanwhile, younger and more affordable alternatives such as Adam Wharton and Kees Smit are also being closely monitored, as they could represent long-term investments with lower costs.
The club’s intention is clear: to sign at least one midfielder in the upcoming summer transfer window, with the final decision likely to depend on both sporting fit and market conditions.
