Real Madrid has not had the best start to the season, and Carlo Ancelotti's recent press conferences have reflected a noticeable lack of enthusiasm. The team's struggles go beyond the pitch, with several key players sidelined due to injuries. Among the injured are Brahim Díaz, David Alaba, Dani Ceballos, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Ferland Mendy, and Jude Bellingham, posing significant challenges for the coaching staff.
Of all the injuries, Jude Bellingham's situation stands out—not just because of the recent setback that has kept him off the field for weeks. The British midfielder initially suffered a muscle injury in the opening league match against RCD Mallorca. While working on his recovery, Bellingham has been confronted by a recurring issue: his troublesome shoulder.
According to The Athletic journalist Guillermo Rai, Bellingham is expected to undergo surgery to resolve his persistent shoulder problems. Although he remains a vital player, Real Madrid recognizes that surgery is inevitable. The dilemma now lies in the timing, as recovery from the procedure could take over three months. For now, the club has opted to delay the surgery, considering the team's current poor form and Bellingham's pivotal role in their strategy.
Surgery could be postponed until the end of the season, though that would mean Bellingham missing the start of the next campaign. In any case, it is clear that the operating room awaits Bellingham in the coming months.
