Real Madrid have another date with basketball history this afternoon as they face Olympiacos in the final of the inaugural EuroLeague Super Cup at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.
The most decorated team in European basketball will be aiming to become the first European Super Champion in the newly created competition, which marks the start of the 2026-27 season. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CET.
Real Madrid and Olympiacos will renew one of European basketball’s historic rivalries with a new title at stake. Pedro Martínez’s side booked their place in the final after overcoming hosts Dubai Basketball 98-95 in a thrilling semifinal that went to overtime.
Olympiacos also secured their place in the final after edging Fenerbahce 92-90 in another closely contested semifinal between two of the tournament favourites.
The two sides will now meet for the inaugural EuroLeague Super Cup, with Real Madrid looking to add another piece of history to their already decorated European record.
