Real Madrid Femenino might be playing some of their home matches at the iconic Santiago Bernabéu next season, according to Relevo's Sandra Riquelme. This possibility, still in the conceptual phase, could become a reality in the first half of 2025.
The idea follows a trend among several European clubs, which have been using their biggest stadiums for significant women's matches, particularly in the Champions League. This move could enhance the visibility and support for women's football.
Real Madrid Femenino had an outstanding season, finishing second in La Liga, trailing only behind Barcelona. They displayed a strong performance with just five losses in 30 league matches, showcasing their potential and competitive spirit. Playing at the Bernabéu could further elevate their status and bring more attention to women's football in Spain.
