One of the latest names that has emerged as an option to strengthen the defense of Real Madrid in January is Mario Gila. According to Francisco José Delgado of SER Deportivos, the white club is now closer to signing a player, and the name of the former Castilla player is on the table, although it is not the only one.
Mario Gila matches the profile that Real Madrid are looking for: young and financially accessible. The 23-year-old young defender was transferred to Lazio in 2022 for 6 million euros, with the Whites keeping 50% of his rights.
Gila knows the house, he knows the team, he has played in the First Division, and this year he has already made his debut in the Champions League with Lazio.
