Martín Zubimendi has once again emerged in Real Madrid's transfer rumours, with reports suggesting the Spanish midfielder could leave Arsenal during the upcoming winter transfer window. The Spain international joined the London club to become a key figure in their midfield but is reportedly open to a January move, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.

His situation has attracted the attention of several major European clubs, including Real Madrid, who are closely monitoring developments. Florentino Pérez's club are not currently planning to make signings in January, but have not ruled out taking advantage of an opportunity if the circumstances change. For now, there is no indication of negotiations between Real Madrid and Arsenal, although Zubimendi's future could become an increasingly prominent topic in the coming weeks.

Real Madrid are far from the only club following the midfielder's situation. According to Konur, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea are also monitoring the possibility of a transfer. Competition could therefore be considerable if Arsenal decide to let him leave in January.

Zubimendi remains highly regarded for his tactical intelligence, ability to dictate play and defensive contribution. However, Real Madrid have a particular reason to approach the situation cautiously: strengthening the midfield is not currently considered a priority. The performances of Bernardo Silva and Arda Güler, together with Fede Valverde's new role at right-back, have strengthened José Mourinho's confidence in his existing options.

Real Madrid's current approach is to monitor the situation and assess whether it develops into a genuine transfer opportunity. The club's sporting management has no intention of changing its January plans simply because a player becomes available or transfer rumours emerge. However, a move could be considered if the sporting and financial conditions are particularly favourable.

The club will continue to follow developments before deciding whether to take action, but this does not mean that a deal is currently being negotiated. Any discussions in the coming weeks could help clarify the intentions of both Arsenal and the player. For now, Mourinho remains focused on getting the most out of his current squad, while Zubimendi stays on Real Madrid's radar without any guarantee that they will pursue his signing.
