Real Madrid are leaving a spot (number 25) open in their first-team squad for a potential late summer signing, even after securing the arrival of Franco Mastantuono.
The Argentine prodigy has been officially presented at the club following his move from River Plate and is expected to be part of the first team this season. For registration purposes, Mastantuono has been listed with Castilla and given the number 30 — a shirt typically worn by Academy and Castilla players.
The decision to keep one place available suggests that Real Madrid’s transfer activity might not be over just yet. With the European window still open, Los Blancos are reportedly monitoring the market for the right opportunity to strengthen key areas of the squad.
