Real Madrid have released an official statement mourning the death of Giorgio Armani, the legendary Italian fashion designer and owner of basketball club Olimpia Milano.
“Real Madrid, its president and the Board of Directors deeply regret the passing of Giorgio Armani, owner of Olimpia Milano since 2008 and one of the most important and renowned figures in the history of fashion.
Real Madrid would like to express its condolences to his family, his loved ones, his club, and all his fans. May he rest in peace,” the statement read.
Armani was 91 years old. In accordance with his wishes, his funeral will be held privately.
