Real Madrid and Real Betis have officially confirmed the transfer of Fran García to the Andalusian club.
The 26-year-old left-back has signed a four-year contract with Manuel Pellegrini's side, keeping him at Betis until June 30, 2030.
According to the agreement, the transfer is worth around €4 million, including add-ons, for 50 percent of the player's economic rights. Real Madrid will also retain the right to receive half of any future transfer fee involving the defender.
Betis have secured one of their priority targets to strengthen the left side of the defense while keeping the deal within their salary cap restrictions.
The move also comes after increased competition for places at Real Madrid following the arrival of Marc Cucurella, with Fran García entering the final year of his contract at the club.
