Real Madrid extended their perfect start to the season with another victory at Anoeta, collecting three points to remain unbeaten at the top of the La Liga table with four wins from four matches.
Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring, but the game took a dramatic turn after half an hour when Gil Manzano sent off Huijsen with a straight red card for a challenge on Oyarzábal, a decision not reviewed by VAR. Despite being a man down, Arda Güler doubled the lead before halftime after a clever assist from Mbappé.
In the second half, Oyarzábal pulled one back from the penalty spot, yet Real Madrid held firm to secure a hard-fought win.
