Real Madrid are undergoing a period of internal reflection following a season that has raised significant concerns. According to Rubén Cañizares in ABC, the club’s leadership, headed by Florentino Pérez, has reached key conclusions, with self-criticism underway and important decisions being prepared regarding the immediate future.

One of the main priorities is for Florentino Pérez to take full control over the appointment of the next coach. The president is determined to avoid intermediaries and uncertainty, influenced by recent experiences. Within the club, there is an acknowledgment of mistakes in handling the managerial situation, particularly involving Xabi Alonso and Álvaro Arbeloa, with a belief that the transition between the two came too late and that a change was needed earlier.

Unless there is an unexpected turn, Arbeloa is not expected to continue as first team manager. Despite maintaining support within the dressing room, the club’s leadership believes a new direction is required.

However, the focus is not solely on the bench. The same report indicates that Florentino Pérez does not place responsibility on the squad, maintaining confidence in the group’s quality and suggesting that performances could improve under a different coach. This stance is seen as a message of support for the players.

In terms of the transfer market, no major overhaul is planned, although some movement is expected. Nico Paz, Endrick and Víctor Muñoz are set to return as part of the club’s plan to integrate young talent into the first team. At the same time, Real Madrid could generate revenue through departures if suitable offers arrive, with players such as Asencio, Camavinga, Ceballos and Fran García among those being considered.
