Real Madrid have entered the international break after a painful defeat to Atlético Madrid, but there are reportedly no doubts inside the dressing room about the path being followed under José Mourinho.

Despite an inconsistent start to the season and sitting six points behind Barcelona, confidence in the project remains strong. According to OKDIARIO, both the coaching staff and the players are convinced that they can turn the situation around. The message inside the dressing room is clear: "We're going to change this."

That belief is in line with the confidence Mourinho has repeatedly expressed in his squad since the beginning of the season.

Inside the team, there is also a feeling that Real Madrid controlled much of the first half at the Metropolitano. Mourinho shared that assessment after the match, describing his players’ performance before the break as a first half "full of class and personality."

The frustration within the squad is particularly focused on the refereeing. According to OKDIARIO, the players believe Cuti Romero and Kang-In Lee should have been sent off, while they were unhappy with the different criteria applied later when Dean Huijsen was shown a red card.

The report also describes the unease that existed inside the dressing room after the final whistle, although it has not affected the squad’s belief in Mourinho’s project.

The Portuguese coach publicly delivered a similar message when asked about Real Madrid’s chances of winning LaLiga.

“If they leave us alone, calmly, and let us compete on equal terms against everyone, there’s still a long way to go,” Mourinho said.

Despite the setback at the Metropolitano, there is reportedly no crisis of confidence at Valdebebas. Mourinho continues to trust his players, while the squad remains committed to the project.

Real Madrid are aware that there are areas to improve, but the belief inside the club is that there is still a long season ahead and enough time to turn things around.
