Fabrizio Romano has reported that Real Madrid have reached a verbal agreement with Chelsea for the signing of Marc Cucurella.
According to the Italian journalist, all parties involved have agreed to the deal, with the Spanish international set to join Real Madrid after the World Cup.
Romano revealed the latest development on social media, confirming that the operation is effectively completed.
"Real Madrid reach verbal agreement to sign Marc Cucurella from Chelsea! Here we go! A verbal agreement is in place between all parties, including the player. He is the left-back desired by Mourinho. Cucurella leaves Chelsea and joins Real Madrid after the World Cup."
If finalized, Cucurella would become another defensive reinforcement for José Mourinho's squad as Real Madrid continue reshaping their back line ahead of the new season.
