According to a report from Marca's José Félix Díaz, Real Madrid are not pursuing Virgil van Dijk as a potential signing. While the club 'admires and respects' the Dutch defender, they have no plans to bring him to the Bernabéu. The only Liverpool player Real Madrid are reportedly interested in is right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
For the centre-back position, Los Blancos are looking for younger options. Recent links have emerged with RB Leipzig's Castello Lukeba and Palmeiras' Vitor Reis, both of whom are seen as more suitable long-term targets than Van Dijk.
Van Dijk, whose current contract with Liverpool expires in July, is expected to extend his stay with the Premier League club.
