Real Madrid faces a demanding schedule leading up to Christmas, with nine matches, including seven away from the Bernabéu, following November’s international break. The busy period begins on Sunday, November 24, with a visit to Leganés at Butarque (6:30 p.m.). Three days later, Madrid will travel to Anfield for their Champions League clash against Liverpool in the fifth round of the first stage.
Kicking off December, Real Madrid will host Getafe at the Bernabéu on the 1st in La Liga's 15th round. This starts a hectic month in which Ancelotti's men will play seven games. On Wednesday, December 4, they will face Athletic Club in San Mamés, a match brought forward due to the Spanish Super Cup. On Saturday, December 7, Madrid will travel to Girona for another away fixture in La Liga. Then, on Tuesday, December 10, they will return to the Champions League with an away game against Atalanta in Bergamo.
Before the Christmas break, Real Madrid has three more fixtures, including two La Liga games. First, they visit Rayo Vallecano on the weekend of December 13-15. On Wednesday, December 18, they will compete for the Intercontinental Cup against an as-yet-undetermined opponent. The final match of the year will take place at the Bernabéu on the weekend of December 21-23, where they will host Sevilla for the 18th round of La Liga.
