Real Madrid has finalized decisions regarding the contracts of basketball players Edy Tavares and Vincent Poirier. While Tavares has secured a five-year deal worth 5 million gross euros per season, Poirier has opted not to renew and joined Anadolu Efes.
This departure leaves Real Madrid in need of a new center for the upcoming season. The club is eyeing Usman Garuba, who might return to the Wizink Center if he doesn't secure a new NBA team, and Serge Ibaka, whose contract with Bayern is expiring soon.
Additionally, Real Madrid is considering Tornike Shengelia from Virtus Bologna as a potential backup option. Shengelia, who has previous experience playing in Spain with Baskonia, has impressive stats this season, averaging 13.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in league games, along with 14.5 points, 5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in the Euroleague.
