The schedule leaves no room for rest for Real Madrid. Between this Wednesday and February 1, Los Blancos will play six matches across three different competitions: the Champions League, La Liga, and the Copa del Rey. Alvaro Arbeloa’s side will be in action twice a week until the start of next month.
This demanding run begins on Wednesday with the Copa del Rey round of 16 clash away to Albacete. On Saturday, Real Madrid return to the Bernabéu to host Levante in La Liga. Just three days later, on Tuesday the 20th, they will once again play at home, this time facing Monaco in the Champions League.
Domestic action resumes on Saturday the 24th with a tough away trip to Villarreal. Then, on Wednesday the 28th, Real Madrid will travel to Lisbon to face Benfica in the eighth and final match of the Champions League group stage. The hectic schedule concludes on February 1, when Rayo Vallecano visit the Bernabéu for La Liga matchday 22.
There is simply no respite for Real Madrid.
