Real Madrid have finalized an agreement with Dennis Smith Jr., an American point guard, who will stay with the club until the conclusion of this season.
Drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in 2017, Smith Jr. earned a spot in the NBA’s All-Rookie Second Team during his debut season. After his stint with the Mavericks, where he played alongside Real Madrid icon Luka Doncic in his second year, he went on to play for the New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons, Portland Trail Blazers, Charlotte Hornets, and Brooklyn Nets. At 27 years old, Smith Jr. brings his experience from seven seasons in the NBA to Real Madrid.
